The nomadic lifestyle is the constant movement from place to place, a common characteristic of shepherds and hunters in Africa and Asia. A nomadic lifestyle in the 21st century has taken on a new form due to the progression of technology, high-speed connections and the growing trend of working remotely. It is no longer out of necessity but out of preference and convince. Commonly referred to as a digital nomad, many jobs are no longer tied to a stationary office but allow for the flexibility of working remotely. Digital nomads are independent, flexible and no longer attached to the space or materials of an office. They rely on the idea that shared space and materials, allows them to maximize the use and reduce the amount of needed space and materials. A compact, flexible place to work fits perfectly into the digital nomad’s philosophy of life and work. The polarized lens helps them work from anywhere in the world. This project is about the future model of human work and the nomadic lifestyle. During the COVID-19 pandemic, the world had to redefine the needs, habits and patterns of life. Working from home became a preferred necessity, and with a realization that many jobs can be done remotely. This space was designed to allow people to work comfortably from anywhere. The polarized lens moving along the 360 degree windows, reflects the sun and diffuses the rays so as not to create harsh distracting light; creating a transparent shutter. The space can be erected anywhere and multiplied easily to create various cluster sizes. These temporary offices are designed for anywhere and everywhere, with an adaptability for natural light and comfort.
